Master Chief Brett Stroman was born in Yokosuka, Japan, and after graduation from Millington Central High School in Millington, TN, he began his naval career in March of 1995. Following recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL, he attended Aviation Electrician’s Mate ‘A” School at Naval Air Technical Training Center, Millington, TN.
His first tour of duty was with Fighter Squadron TWO ZERO ONE (VF-201), followed by Fleet Logistics Support Squadron FIVE EIGHT (VR-58), Center for Naval Leadership Learning Site Mayport, Strike Fighter Squadron TWO ZERO FOUR (VFA-204), Patrol Squadron THIRTY (VP-30), Fleet Logistics Support Squadron SIX TWO (VR-62), Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command and finally Fighter Squadron Composite THIRTEEN (VFC-13) as the Command Master Chief.
In December of 2018, he reported to NAS JRB New Orleans, LA and is currently serving as the Command Master Chief of Navy Air Logistics Office (NALO).
Master Chief Stroman’s educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, an Associates of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, an Associates of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Management and he is a licensed FAA Airframes and Power Plants Mechanic and an FCC Radiotelephone Operator. Additionally, he is a 2014 graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and 2016 graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course.
His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (8 awards) and several unit and campaign awards. He has qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist in six platforms.
