Commander Flint, a native of Gloversville, New York, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography, with merit, and was commissioned in the United States Navy.  After completing flight training at Whiting Field, Florida and Meridian, Mississippi, she was designated a Naval Aviator in October 2004.

She completed initial F/A-18E/F training with VFA-122 in Lemoore, California and joined VFA-115 in Lemoore, California in September 2005. In 2006, 2007, and 2008 Commander Flint deployed with the “Talons” aboard USS REAGAN (CVN-76) in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.

In November 2008, Commander Flint reported to VFA-122 in Lemoore, California as a Fleet Replacement Squadron Instructor.  At VFA-122 she served as the CAT Other Coordinator, AV/ARM Division Officer, and Demonstration Team Coordinator.

In March 2011, Commander Flint report to Carrier Air Wing Nine Staff as the Assistant Operations Officer.  During this tour, she deployed in 2011 and 2012 aboard the USS STENNIS in support of Operations NEW DAWN and ENDURING FREEDOM.  In February 2013, Commander Flint joined the “Vigilantes” of VFA-151 as a Department Head.  She served as Admin Officer, Safety Officer, Maintenance Officer, and Operations Officer.  She also participated in the squadron transition to the F/A-18E Super Hornet.

In October 2015, Commander Flint reported to United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) in Stuttgart, Germany.  During this tour, she served as a Crisis Action Planner and Joint Action Planner.

Commander Flint earned a Master of Business Administration Summa cum Laude from Tuoro University International and has accumulated over 2,900 flight hours and 580 carrier landings.  Her decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Strike/Flight medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), and various campaign, unit, and service awards.
