Command Senior Chief Madison hails from Hattiesburg, MS, and graduated from Petal High School in 1990. He entered the Delayed Entry Program in January 1991 and commenced active duty service in April 1991. He earned an Associate in General Studies from Columbia College in December 2013.
Formal schools include: Basic Training and Electrician’s Mate “A” and “C” schools in Great Lakes, IL and the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 161 Gray) and Command Leadership School in Newport, RI.
EMCS Madison’s sea assignments include: USS Mississippi (CGN 40) from 1991-1996 where he earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Ensigna, USS Ticonderoga (CG 47) from 2002-2006, and Senior Enlisted Leader MCM Crew Reaper from 2012-present.
His shore assignments include: Rubber and Plastic Technician, Naval Submarine Support Facility Groton, CT from 1997-2001., Outside Electrical Shop 51B Leading Chief Petty Officer, Trident Refit Facility, Kings bay, GA from 2003-2006., Naval Military Training Instructor, Great Lakes, IL from 2010-2012.
His list of Decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal with four bronze stars, and various unit awards.
