LT Paul S. Duenas
Lieutenant Paul Sablan Duenas, a native of Guam, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.
His division officer tours were as Communications Officer in USS MASON (DDG 77) and Fire Control Officer in USS RAMAGE (DDG 61). Additionally, he served an individual augmentee tour with Joint Counter-Radio Controlled IED Electronic Warfare Composite Squadron (JCCS) One in Baghdad, Iraq, where he was assigned as an Electronic Warfare Officer to the U.S. Army's 440th Signal Battalion, 86th Signal Battalion, and the Multi-National Corps-Iraq Coalition Military Assistance Training Team (CMATT).
Selected for the Naval Academy LEAD Program, he attended graduate studies at University of Maryland, College Park, receiving a Master of Professional Studies Degree in Leadership, Education, and Development, and subsequently served as a Company Officer at the US Naval Academy. He also completed the Naval War College Fleet Seminar Program, receiving a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies with a focus on Irregular Warfare. After attending Department Head School at Surface Warfare Officer School in Newport, Rhode Island, he reported to USS O'KANE (DDG 77) as the Engineer Officer in March 2011.
Screened and selected for early command, he reported as Executive Officer in MCM Crew FEARLESS in September of 2013. FEARLESS is currently embarked aboard USS DEXTROUS (MCM 9).
