MCM CREW FEARLESS begins 2012 with a great start. The command is using its in-port time wisely. The Damage Control Training Team led by DC1(SW) Scott Susz and the Anti-Terrorism Training Team led by MN1(SW) David Wall are training more sailors to increase the ship’s readiness. The Damage Control Training Team is instructing new sailors like MNSN Nigel Littleton to fill the position of Attack Team Leader during a main space fire drill. The Anti-Terrorism Training Team is teaching newly checked-in sailors like ENS Collin Meador, ET2(SCW) Kyle Hicks, and EMFN Robert Dineros, on the basics of Shipboard Reaction Force(SRF-B).
Two sailors in particular were ready to start the New Year with their newly appointed positions. ET2(SW) Joshua Greene and EN2(SW) George Quigley were recently advanced at the Command Picnic. They were advanced through the Command Advancement Program or CAP. ET2(SW) Joshua Greene was a third class that was always performing above his pay grade. EN2(SW) George Quigley constantly showed his hard work and effort, staying hungry to learn more.
The ship and crew are keeping busy, trying to make the time fly by fast. Although FEARLESS misses their families at home, they sure are making everyone proud representing not only the FEARLESS and NAVY name but the United State of America.
