LCDR Edward J. Pledger
Commanding Officer (December 2009 - December 2011)

Lieutenant Commander Edward J. Pledger graduated in 2000 from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in History. He is also a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he earned a Master’s in Business Administration.

At sea, Lieutenant Commander Pledger served as Executive Officer of MCM Crew EXULTANT embarked in USS WARRIOR (MCM 10) and USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13), Chief Engineer in USS DECATUR (DDG 73), Navigator and Training Officer in USS CHAFEE (DDG 90) and as Communications and Electrical Officer in USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54). Ashore, he was assigned as an Instructor of Naval Science at the University of Mississippi NROTC Unit.

Lieutenant Commander Pledger’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards).
