LCDR Adam C. Soukup 
Commanding Officer

Lieutenant Commander Soukup grew up outside of Wagner, South Dakota, graduating from Wagner Community High School in 1998. He is a 2002 graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He is also a 2007 Graduate of Webster University in St. Louis, MO, earning a Masters in Management and Leadership.

After attending Surface Warfare Officer’s School in Newport, RI, LCDR Soukup reported aboard USS VALLEY FORGE (CG 50) in San Diego, CA, as Gunnery Officer where he earned his qualification as a Surface Warfare Officer. In 2004, he reported aboard USS CURTS (FFG 38), also homeported in San Diego, as Auxiliaries Officer. From 2009-10, LCDR Soukup served as Engineer Officer in MCM Crew DOMINANT onboard USS DEVASTATOR (MCM 6), SCOUT (MCM 8), and CHAMPION (MCM 4), before serving as the Engineer aboard USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53) from 2011-12.

Ashore, he served at the Center for Naval Engineering Learning Site, Great Lakes, as the C-Schools Department Head, managing instruction and curriculum for fleet-returnee Sailors.

LCDR Soukup is currently the Commanding Officer of MCM Crew EXULTANT, homeported in San Diego.
