A native of Dinwiddie, VA, Lieutenant Commander Minetree graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2000.
After attending Surface Warfare Officer’s School in Newport, RI, Lieutenant Commander Minetree served as the Main Propulsion Officer aboard USS HOPPER (DDG 70). She completed her second Division Officer Tour aboard USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37) as the Auxiliaries Officer. As a Department Head, she served as the Chief Engineer aboard USS RUSSELL (DDG 59). Most recently, she completed her tour as the Executive Officer of MCM CREW CONFLICT from June 2009 to December 2010.
Ashore, Lieutenant Commander Minetree attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, and received a Master of Science degree in Undersea Warfare.
Her operational experiences include multiple Arabian Gulf deployments with US and Coalition forces in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. While serving in USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37), she also completed a Counter Narcotics deployment in the Eastern Pacific.
Her awards include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy Achievement Medal, and various campaign medals.
