LT Kevin S. McCormick Jr.
Executive Officer
A native of Bear, Delaware, LT Kevin McCormick graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
Afloat, LT McCormick served as Chief Engineer onboard USS McCAMPBELL (DDG 85) from October 2009 until October 2011 during which the command served as Air Defense Commander for the GEORGE WASHINGTON Strike Group and provided humanitarian assistance during Operation TOMODACHI.
His division officer tours were in USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51) where he served under the Division Officer Sequencing Plan as Damage Control Assistant, Training Officer, and Navigator from June 2003 until June 2006.
Ashore, LT McCormick served as Operations, Training, and Weapons Officer in Beachmaster Unit TWO in Little Creek Virginia.
LT McCormick’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (two awards) and the Navy Achievement Medal (three awards) and was also selected as the 2011 Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific Surface Warfare Officer of the Year.
