PACIFIC OCEAN (May 1, 2017) - Chief Mineman Frank Alvarado leads a team of Sailors on board USS Ardent (MCM 12) as they conduct an anchor drop test during Ardent's Contractor Sea Trials. The ability to safely anchor the ship is an essential part of underway operations and requires close coordination between the bridge team and the deck team.
