LCDR Brian Bungay
Executive Officer

Originally from California, LCDR Brian Bungay graduated from the University of Southern California in May 2004 and was commissioned through NROTC. He received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Arts in History. Additionally, he received a Masters in Human Resources Management from Webster University in 2011.

LCDR Bungay’s sea duty assignments include division officer tours as Gunnery Officer and Training Officer on USS MILIUS (DDG 69), and Auxiliaries Division Officer on USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76). His department head tours include Combat Systems Officer on USS TAYLOR (FFG 50) and N9 Combat Systems and Anti-Terrorism Officer on COMPHIBRON 1.

Ashore, he served in Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) as the Legislative Affairs and Enlistment Incentives Division Head (N53). He also completed a 1-year IA tour in Iraq where he was assigned to United States Forces – Iraq (USF-I) J35 Training Division.

His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Joint Service Achievement Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit and campaign awards.
