ARABIAN SEA (Sept. 20, 2010) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Matthew Montalbano loads a .50-caliber machine gun during a small craft action team exercise aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52). Small craft action team drills are designed to train crew members how to react in the event of a small boat attack on the ship. Pearl Harbor is part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
