CMDCM(SW) Todd R. Gruchalla
Command Master Chief

A native of Aberdeen, Washington, Master Chief Gruchalla graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1986 and enlisted in the Navy and graduated boot camp in San Diego, California in 1987.

Master Chief Gruchalla’s sea tours include USS CAPE COD (AD 43), Commander Destroyer Squadron Five embarked onboard KITTY HAWK (CV 63 ), RENTZ (FFG 46), COMPHIBRON THREE embarked onboard BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD 6), USNS SPICA (T-AFS 9), USNS CONCORD (T-AFS 5), GERMANTOWN (LSD 42), and USS INGRAHAM (FFG 61).

Master Chief Gruchalla’s shore tours include duty at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois as a Recruit Division Commander and Naval Telecommunications Station Guam where he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader. Master Chief Gruchalla is a graduate of the United States Senior Enlisted Academy Class 145 and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course class 61.

He assumed duties as the Command Master Chief of USS INGRAHAM (FFG 61) from June 2009 to December 2010.

Master Chief Gruchalla is currently the CMC for the Navy’s finest amphibious warship USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD 52).

Master Chief Gruchalla’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (five awards) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), as well as various unit and campaign awards.
