PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 5, 2010) - Operations Specialist 3rd Class Nicholas Maloney applies a banding patch to a simulated ruptured pipe in main machinery room No. 2 during a general quarters drill aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). Harpers Ferry is part of the permanently forward-deployed Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is underway in the western Pacific Ocean.
