140228-N-BB269-448 EAST CHINA SEA (Feb. 28, 2014) - A V-22 Osprey takes off from the flight deck of Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during flight operations. Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and is currently conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
