Director of Expeditionary Warfare Visits USS Rushmore LSD 47 
 
SAN DIEGO - Maj. Gen. Timothy Hanifen, Director, Expeditionary Warfare, congratulates Cmdr. William Grotewold, Commanding Officer, USS Rushmore (LSD 47) on maintenance progress during a mid-morning visit to the ship. USS Rushmore recently returned from a seven month deployment with the Bonhomme Richard.  Amphibious Ready Group and is currently in an Extended Docking Phased Maintenance Availability Period.
