PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 9, 2010) A landing craft utility departs the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) carrying Sailors assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 1 and Marines assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 13. Comstock, part of the Boxer Amphibious Readiness Group, ACU-1, CLB-13, and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU), are underway off the coast of Southern California participating in certification exercise in preparation for a 2011 deployment.
