Communications Department

"Keeping Communications Open"

Communications Department is divided into two work centers, OC01 (RADIO) and OC02 (ADP). Both work hand-in-hand in the daily operations of the ship's internal and external communications systems. OC01 maintains the external SATCOM, ship-to-ship, ship-to shore, ship-to-air communications suite and fleet message traffic. OC02 manages the operations of the internal information infrastructure that comprises the Classified and Unclassified Local Area Networks, as well as various other C4I systems.
