Combat Cargo Department

The ship’s Combat Cargo Department is responsible for embarking and debarking the Landing Force from ship to shore by landing craft and helicopter. Combat Cargo maintains and coordinates all the ship's troop spaces and serves as the Commanding Officer's special advisors on all Landing Force issues.
Combat Cargo Department is lead by the Combat Cargo Officer (CCO) who is a U.S Marine Chief Warrant Officer. The Combat Cargo Assistant (CCA) is a U.S. Marine Gunnery Sergeant who assists the CCO in his or her duties.
