First off, congratulations on your orders to the absolute finest ship afloat, the USS DUBUQUE (LPD 8). Upon arrival you may be reporting to the transient personnel unit at NAVAL STATION SAN DIEGO due to our underway status. The housing issue is very simple, as soon as you arrive you will need your orders and they will do the rest. Or you can contact them now and let them know you are coming. Below are some more helpful websites to familiarize you with the San Diego area: The ship has converted to Navy Cash, so upon arrival you will need to transfer cash to a card that will work in all the vending machines and the ship's store. A temporary card will be issued while your permanent card is being set up.
