LCDR John W. Moore
Executive Officer (March 2012 - January 2013)

LCDR John Moore is a native of Moncure, N.C., and a graduate of North Carolina State University. He began his Naval career as an Electronics Technician, enlisting in March of 1990.

Afloat, LCDR Moore served as Destroyer Squadron TWO Operations Officer, USS HALYBURTON (FFG 40) Operations Officer, USS SAIPAN (LHA 2) Weapons Officer, and USS KLAKRING (FFG 42) CIC Officer. He also served as a Second Class Electronics Technician onboard USS DANIEL BOONE (SSBN 629) Blue Crew, where he was selected for Navy ROTC.

Ashore, LCDR Moore served most recently at Navy Personnel Command as the FTS SWO, Submarine, SEAL, and EOD detailer. Prior to his detailing tour he completed a Command Ashore tour as the Commanding Officer of Navy Operational Support Center, Wilmington, NC. He also completed a tour as a C4I Analyst at Operational Test and Evaluation Force, Norfolk, VA.

LCDR Moore reported to PCU SOMERSET in November 2011.
