Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding will christen San Diego (LPD 22) at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Pascagoula, MS shipyard. A LIVE Webcast is scheduled to begin at the start of the ceremony.
Where is the event? Event takes place outdoors at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding-Gulf Coast in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The ceremony will take place rain or shine and will be under cover. Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding will designate viewing areas and reserves the right to deny admission to anyone.

Free parking is available at the shipyard. Please refer to the color-coded parking pass included in your invitation package for further direction. You will have a very short walk to the loading area (depending on when you arrive). A bus will transport you to the ceremony site near the waterfront where you can select a seat.
Following the ceremony, the bus will transport you back to the parking lot and reception area (adjacent to parking area). Yes. Light refreshments and food will be provided at the reception following the ceremony. It is an alcohol-free event. What should I wear?
The attire is business. Although the event is under tent cover, please be prepared for inclement weather conditions. Can I bring my children to the event?
