Command Master Chief

Master Chief Robertson is a native of Houston Texas. He enlisted in the Navy in 1988 and completed Boot Camp and Radioman “A” School at RTC San Diego, CA.
Master Chief Robertson’s shore duty assignments include Naval Communications Area Master Station Honolulu, HI (NCTAMS PAC) as a SATCOM Operator and Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific. While at ATGMIDPAC he was certified as a Master Training Specialist (MTS) and was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2003.
His Sea Duty assignments include Commander Carrier Group Four, “PLANKOWNER” of USS DECATUR (DDG 73) and Communication Officer on the staff of Commander Destroyer Squadron THIRTY-ONE. During his tour he completed a world cruise onboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70) and was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2006.
In July 2007 he reported to Surface Warfare Officer School Command (SWOS) Newport, RI. During his tour he attended the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 134) and was selected for the Command Master/Senior Chief program.
Master Chief Robertson completed the CMC/COB Course (Class 62) and assumed duties as Command Senior Chief onboard USS VANDEGRIFT (FFG 48) in August 2009. As Command Senior/Master Chief from August 2009 to April 2013. In May 2013 he reported to USS SAN DEIGO (LPD 22) as the ships second Command Master Chief.
Master Chief Robertson's awards include the Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), and numerous campaign medals and unit citations. He is also entitled to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare Insignia.
