LCDR J. Wesley House
Executive Officer (October 2009 - December 2012)

LCDR Wes House is a native of Stuttgart, Arkansas and enlisted as a Sonar Technician (Submarines) in 1988. He earned the rank of Sonar Technician Second Class (Qualified in Submarines) and served on USS AUGUSTA (SSN 710) and USS GREENEVILLE (SSN 772). LCDR House received his commission at Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida in the Seaman to Admiral Class of 1996. He is a graduate of the University of San Diego and the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College.

Following graduation from the Surface Warfare Division Officer Course LCDR House was assigned to USS RUSSELL (DDG 59) as Damage Control Assistant. On RUSSELL he made an Arabian Gulf deployment in 1998 to enforce United Nations sanctions against Iraq.

Following RUSSELL, LCDR House attended the Surface Warfare Department Head Course. He graduated in 2000 and was assigned to USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53) as Weapons Control Officer. During this tour he completed a crew exchange and returned with MOBILE BAY from Japan to her new homeport in San Diego. After returning to the states LCDR House assumed duties as Combat Systems Officer. During his department head tours he completed deployments to the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf.

After graduation in 2006 from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in History he reported to Carrier Strike Group Eleven as Sea Strike Officer. During his staff tour he deployed on USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Prior to reporting to PCU SAN DIEGO (LPD 22), LCDR House served on temporary duty as Executive Officer in USS HAWES (FFG 53) for a counter narco-terrorism deployment to the Caribbean.

LCDR House’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold stars, and various campaign and unit awards.
