USS Bonhomme Richard conducts operations in Ssang Yong exercise 
USS Bonhomme Richard, USS Essex conduct operations as part of Ssangyong exercise. 
 
South Korea - TACRON 12 DET 3 embarked on both the USS BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD 6) and USS ESSEX (LHD 2) providing centralized planning, control, coordination and integration of amphibious air operations during exercise SSANG YONG, a bilateral Marine Expeditionary Brigade level exercise involving over 7000 Sailors and Marines that took place off the coast of South Korea.
