100225-N-8283S-389 ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Feb. 25, 2010) - Operations Specialist 3rd Class Victoria Alvanos fires an M16 rifle during a weapons qualification session at the Escondido Police range. More than 100 Boxer Sailors were given the opportunity to qualify on the M16 rifle and 9 mm pistol in order to increase the number of Sailors able to stand ship security watches.
