Sea and Anchor Detail form the Flight Deck of USS ESSEX (LHD 2) 
 
CHANGI NAVAL BASE, Singapore (Oct. 30, 2010) - Lt. Scott Purcell supervises the sea and anchor detail from the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2).  Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is making a port visit to Singapore. Essex, commanded by Capt. Troy Hart, is part of the forward-deployed Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is making a port visit to Singapore.
