SOUTH CHINA SEA - Aviation Ordnanceman1st Class Justin McCray, right, instructs Aviation Ordnance Airman Eric Bell on the correct use of an M-240B machine gun during a live fire exercise on the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2).  Essex, commanded by Capt. Troy Hart, is part of the forward-deployed Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is underway in the Western Pacific.
