ARABIAN SEA (Sept. 29, 2010) - Pallets of supplies are transferred from dry cargo ammunition ship USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2) to amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) during a underway replenishment Sept. 29. Peleliu received fuel, food and mail from Sacagawea during the evolution. Underway replenishments allow ships to remain at sea for long periods without needing to resupply in port. Peleliu is the command ship of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
