Chief Staff Officer

A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, and a 1996 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Commander Jeremy Gray has served at a variety of sea and shore assignments.

Gray’s sea duty assignments include duty on cruisers, destroyers, carriers and littoral combat ships that have operated in the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Arabian Gulf, Indian Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean. He served as anti-submarine warfare officer on USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51), assistant damage control assistant on USS Nimitz (CVN 68), operations officer and air warfare syndicate leader on USS Milius (DDG 69), operations officer on USS Shiloh (CG 67), operations officer on USS Chancellorsville (CG 62), and as both executive officer and commanding officer of Littoral Combat Ship Crew 202.

Ashore, he has served as an operations analyst at the Office of Naval Operation Sea Shaping Division. He also served as planner in the logistics operations and plans division at Special Operations Command Europe.

He currently serves as chief staff officer for Commander, Littoral Combat Ship Squadron ONE.

Gray holds a master’s of arts degree in Nation Security Affairs from the Naval Post Graduate School. His decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal.
