Captain Jordy Harrison

A native of Columbia, Maryland, Captain Jordy Harrison was commissioned in 1992 upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy and has served in a variety of sea and shore commands.

Harrison’s sea duty assignments include duty on both a cruiser and destroyers that have deployed to the Southern Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea, Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Oman and Arabian Gulf. He served as anti-submarine warfare and auxiliaries officer aboard USS John Rogers (DD 983), as operations officer aboard USS Ross (DDG 71) and USS Princeton (CG 59), executive officer aboard USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60) and commanding officer on USS Halsey (DDG 97).

Ashore, he served as flag aide to Commander Naval Surface Forces, as executive assistant to the Director of Operations and Deputy Commander United States Northern Command, and as military assistant to the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Military Committee.

His current assignment is Commander Littoral Combat Ship Squadron One.

Harrison’s personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal and various service campaign and unit decorations.
