Command Senior Chief - LCS Crew 212

Senior Chief Blackledge, a native of Center Point, Texas, enlisted in the United States Navy in July of 1996. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, he reported to Naval Training Center, San Diego, California where he completed Mess Management Specialist “A” school.

After “A” school, he reported to Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS), Groton, Connecticut. After completion of BESS, he received orders to USS MARYLAND SSBN 738 (BLUE CREW). His Naval assignments include COMSUBGRUTEN, Kings Bay, Georgia; COMNAVSUBFOR, Norfolk, Virginia; USJFCOM, Norfolk, Virginia; SAC-T, Norfolk, Virginia; and he commissioned USS FREEDOM LCS 1 the first high speed Littoral Combat Ship. His follow on shore tour was at Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nevada where he was be the Food Service Officer, MWR Leading Chief Petty Officer, and Lead Crew Served Weapons Instructor.

Senior Chief Blackledge is currently the Command Senior Chief on PCU JACKSON LCS 6. Additionally Senior Chief Blackledge is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 155 and the Command Leadership School. He has earned his Submarine Warfare and Surface Warfare devices.

His decorations include Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal (3 awards) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards) and various other awards.
