Commander Timothy Wilke
Executive Officer - Gold Leadership (Relieved June 2012)

Commander Timothy Wilke was raised in Schaumburg, Illinois. In 1996 he received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a commission in the United States Navy from Marquette University.
His first Division Officer tours were as Ordnance Officer aboard USS RENTZ (FFG 46) from 1996-1998 and as the Main Propulsion Assistant aboard USS CHOSIN (CG 65) from 1998 to 2000. Commander Wilke then served as the Maintenance Type Desk Officer to Commander Logistics Group Western Pacific in Singapore from 2000 through 2001. From 2001 till 2003 Commander Wilke served as Flag Aide / Lieutenant to Commander NIMITZ Battle Group.
His next sea duty tour was in USS DECATUR (DDG 73) as Operations Officer from 2003 to 2005 where he deployed as part of the PELELIU Expeditionary Strike Group supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. From 2005-2006 Commander Wilke served in USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) as Operations Officer where he deployed as part of the REAGAN Carrier Strike Group supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2006 Commander Wilke attended the Naval War College in Newport RI where he earned a Masters in National Defense Policy, Strategic Studies. Commander Wilke’s subsequent tour ashore was as a Future Plans (N5) Staff Officer assigned to the Headquarters Maritime Command Naples Italy, NATO Forces Southern Europe supporting Operation Active Endeavour.
Commander Wilke has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with three gold star, the Navy Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and various unit and campaign awards.
