|LCDR Kevin Ralston
Executive Officer (March 2011 - October 2012)
LCDR Kevin Ralston is a native of Gardiner, Montana. He is a graduate of the University of Montana and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 1997. He attended Naval Postgraduate School where he earned a Master of Business Administration.
After initial Surface Warfare Officer training, LCDR Ralston served in USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) as Electrical Officer and Auxiliaries Officer. Following a successful Middle East deployment, LCDR Ralston reported to Special Boat Unit Twelve (SBU 12) in May 2000. There he served as Officer-in-Charge of an 11 meter Rigid-hull Inflatable Boat Detachment and deployed as part of Naval Special Warfare Task Unit Peleliu to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In December 2004, LCDR Ralston reported to USS SHOUP (DDG 86) as Operations Officer and deployed to the Western Pacific as part of ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Strike Group in support of numerous 7th Fleet engagements, including Operation Unified Assistance. He then reported as Operations Officer to Commander, Destroyer Squadron Twenty One (CDS 21) in 2006, deploying to the Middle East with the JOHN C. STENNIS Carrier Strike Group.
Following his Department Head tours, LCDR Ralston was deployed to U.S. European Command to fulfill a GWOT Support Assignment. Ashore, he served as an Action Officer and Deputy Branch Chief in the Global Operations Directorate, U. S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
Lieutenant Commander Ralston has received unit and personal awards to include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal - three awards, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal - two awards.
