Lieutenant Commander Snyder graduated and received his commission from the United States Naval Academy in 1997.

Afloat LCDR Snyder has served as Communications Officer in USS BOONE (FFG-28); Navigator onboard USS ASHLAND (LSD-48); Operations Officer in USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG-68) and as Operations Officer in USS VICKSBURG (CG-69).

Ashore, LCDR Snyder has served as an Officer Programs Recruiter at Naval Recruiting District New England and as a Future Operations Planner on the staff of Special Operations Command Africa in Stuttgart, Germany.

He holds a Masters of Arts Degree in National Security & Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.

LCDR Snyder’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 Awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 Awards).

LCDR Snyder reported as Executive Officer in October 2012.
