Command Senior Chief

Senior Chief Kahihikolo, a native of Hilo, Hawaii enlisted in the United States Navy in September 1992. He graduated basic training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego, California October 1992 and reported to ATD San Diego for basic seamanship training.

Upon graduation, he reported to his first sea command USS ROANOKE (AOR-7) at Long Beach, California. There he made his first Western Pacific deployment. In 1995 he reported to USS BELLEAU WOOD (LHA-3) at Sasebo, Japan forward deployed. In 1998 he reported to USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG-56) at Yokosuka, Japan forward deployed and made his first and second deployment to the Arabian Gulf in support of Desert Storm. In 2001 He reported to the USS JUNEAU (LPD-10) in Sasebo, Japan forward deployed and made his third deployment to the Arabian Gulf in support of operation Enduring Freedom. His shore commands include tours at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka in Japan and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii where he served as the LCPO for the USS ARIZONA Memorial detachment.

Senior Chief reported to the USS FORD August 2010 and assumed duties as Operations Department LCPO. He holds an Associates of Arts Degree with a major in Business Management from Coastline Community College.

His decorations include the Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards), and various unit and campaign awards
