San Diego - LCDR Jennifer Tietz, USS VANDEGRIFT Operations Officer, receives a hug from a local San Diego Girl Scout at the Operation Thin Mint Send Off on May 7th at the USS MIDWAY Museum. LCDR Tietz addressed over a thousand local Girl Scouts and shared her memories of receiving OPERATION THIN MINT cookies during VANDEGRIFT’s last deployment.
