USS Rents and USS Gridley 
 
PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 9, 2010)- The Oliver Hazard Perry-class Frigate USS Rentz (FFG 46) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) trail the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during a simulated straits transit. Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 are currently on a three-week composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) followed by a western Pacific deployment.
