|CDR Lance Chad Lantier
Commander Lantier is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. He began his career by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1989 under the Delayed Entry Program, graduating from the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) program in San Diego in 1991. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the United States Naval Academy in May 1995.
His operational tours include Main Propulsion Officer and Auxiliaries Officer in USS PORTLAND (LSD 37), Auxiliaries Officer in USS KLAKRING (FFG 42), Chief Engineer in USS MILIUS (DDG 69), Materiel Officer (N4) on the Destroyer Squadron TWO THREE Staff, and Executive Officer in USS RENTZ (FFG 46).
He graduated Naval Postgraduate School in 2001 with a Master of Science degree in Systems Integration and completed his Joint Service education at the Joint Forces Staff College.
Assignments ashore have included a tour as a Sea Strike Analyst for the Assessments Division, Chief of Naval Operations (N81), and a tour as Education Officer and Experimentation Officer for the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate, Quantico, VA.
His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal (three awards) and the Naval Achievement Medal (two awards).
