USS CURTS Hosts Cambodian Lieutenant General 

April 12th, 2011 – The USS CURTS was honored to host Cambodian Lieutenant General Suon Samnang and the Cambodian General Officer Delegation for an onboard demonstration. The focus of the visit was to display the United States Navy’s equipment and procedures for Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) Operations. Members of the USS CURTS VBSS Team, fully equipped for a boarding operation, were on hand to greet LTGEN Samnang, display VBSS tactics, and address questions from the General Officer Delegation. Discussion between LTGEN Samnang, the General Officer Delegation, and the USS CURTS VBSS subject matter experts continued throughout the rest of the demonstration and touched on the areas of implementation, tactics, procedures, and safety. The demonstration created a strong and lasting impression of the United States Navy’s capabilities and strengthened the multinational bonds that have become so important in the modern world.
