CURTS invited Chaplain Joe Davis from the San Diego Medical Examiner’s.
San Diego February 21st, 2012 - CURTS invited Chaplain Joe Davis from the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office to come aboard and speak to junior Sailors about the dangers of alcohol abuse. Chaplain Davis has been working with the Medical Examiner’s Office for over 12 years and has seen first hand what alcohol can do to a Navy Sailor. His presentation depicted several “eye-opening” statistics as well as factual case studies that involved the deaths or serious injuries of young Sailors across the fleet. Chaplain Davis also discussed the various effects of drug abuse and suicide, which are real threats that are affecting our Navy today. Chaplain Davis was able to connect with the young Sailors and his visit will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on our crew.
