Command Master Chief
Master Chief Campbell is a native of Canutillo, Texas. He enlisted in the Navy in June, 1991. Following recruit training at Recruit Training Command San Diego, California; he attended Hospital Corpsman “A” School in San Diego, California.
His sea duty assignments include tours as an Independent Duty Corpsman aboard USS JOHN A. MOORE (FFG-19), San Diego, California; USS CURTS (FFG-38), San Diego, California; and Marine Aircraft Group Forty-Nine, Fort Worth, Texas.
Master Chief Campbell’s shore assignments include Naval Air Station Dallas, Dallas, Texas; Delta Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines, 4th Marine Division, Waterloo, Iowa; Naval School of Health Sciences, San Diego, California; Branch Health Clinic, Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas where he deployed in support of POW/MIA recovery operations and Navy Personnel Command as Full Time Support HM Detailer and PERS 4012 Leading Chief Petty Officer.
Master Chief Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Upper Iowa and a Bachelor of Clinic Health Sciences from George Washington University. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 152 Blue.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), and numerous service and campaign medals. In 2009 he was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program and since July 2010 he has served as the Command Senior Chief USS CURTS (FFG 38) San Diego, California.
