Senior Enlisted Advisor
Senior Chief Scott deLage resides from Long Branch, NJ. He graduated high school in Coral Springs, FL, then attended the University of Alabama before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in the TAR program in November 1993.
Upon graduation from YN ‘A’ School, he reported to VP-65, the Tridents, in Point Mugu, CA. He worked as the Order writing Coordinator, advancing to YN3 before transferring in January 1997 to Personnel Support Detachment Corry Station. Assigned to the Reserve Services Desk at NRC Pensacola, he advanced to YN2 and served as Personnel Clerk, ID card clerk and Assistant ESO. In June of 1999, Senior Chief deLage reported to REDCOM ONE, soon to become REDCOM Northeast, in Newport, RI. He worked in the Training Department, managing IDTT and ADT funding for 21 Reserve Centers. He was also charged with command inspections of centers. After advancing to YN1, he terminated shore duty to accept orders to USS BLACK HAWK (MHC 58), home ported in Ingleside, TX.
Reporting in August 2001, he served as Ship’s Secretary, Administrative Officer and Enlisted Watchbill Coordinator, while qualifying as Conning Officer, Combat Systems Watch, and many other out-of-rate positions. Upon transferring to NMCRC Orlando in October 2003, he assumed the duties as Admin/Command Service LPO. Selected for Chief Petty Officer in June 2004, he served as the Personnel Officer, Legal Officer, and Security Manager before again terminating shore duty in March 2006 to accept orders to VR-57, the Conquistadors, at NAS North Island, CA. He served as Admin LCPO, Legal, Security Manager, Command Managed Equal Opportunity Manager, and EAWS Coordinator, as well as the RCPOA San Diego Treasurer and CPO Induction Co-chair for 2008.
Prior to transferring to USNORTHCOM in July 2009, he was selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer. He served as the Unit Reserve Coordinator for the J2 directorate and was assigned collaterally as the Navy Element Senior Enlisted Leader. He was selected for the Command Senior Chief program, and in December 2010 he reported to USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37) as the Command Senior Chief. Prior to reporting, he completed the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 155 BLUE) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat courses.
Senior Chief’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (w/ 2 gold stars), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (w/ 3 gold stars) and various other unit and campaign awards earned while serving with the finest Sailors in the Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI and is currently pursuing a Masters in Management and Leadership, through Webster University.
