A native of South Carolina, and a graduate of Walterboro High School, Master Chief Wilson joined the Navy one year after graduation. She completed recruit training and Airman Training school in Orlando, FLA.
Master Chief Wilson’s assignments at sea include Patrol Squadron NINETEEN, BUPERS SEA Special Program, Carrier Air Wing FOURTEEN, USS John C Stennis (CVN 74); Helicopter Squadron FOUR and Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti Africa.
Master Chief Wilson’s shore assignments include Recruit Division Commander at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL; Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron ELEVEN, and Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Sicily.
Master Chief Wilson assumed her current position as Command Master Chief for Expeditionary Strike Group THREE in August 2011.
Master Chief Wilson is a recipient of the FY 2008 CAPT JOY BRIGHT Leadership Award. She is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 98 and completed the Command Master Chief course held in Newport, RI.
Her personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6 awards), Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), various service and campaign awards.
