Commander Mike Weeldreyer Executive Officer (August 2009 - August 2011) |

Commander Mike Weeldreyer was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin, and earned his commission in 1995 through the University of Notre Dame NROTC Unit.
His assignments at sea include Damage Control Assistant and Training Officer aboard USS DE WERT (FFG 45), Fire Control Officer aboard USS MONTEREY (CG 61), Operations Officer aboard USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG 81), and Operations and Future Plans Officer in COMMANDER, DESTROYER SQUADRON TWO EIGHT. During these operational tours, he completed deployments and missions in the Caribbean Sea, South Pacific Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, Persian Gulf, Indian Ocean, and North Sea.
Ashore, he served as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science, The George Washington University NROTC Unit; Senior Navy White House Social Aide, Office of the President and First Lady; Division Officer Sea Duty Coordinator, and later as Metrics Analyst and Assistant Community Manager, Bureau of Naval Personnel, PERS-41 (Surface Warfare).
Commander Weeldreyer’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, five Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals and various service campaign and unit decorations.
Commander Weeldreyer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University, Washington, DC.
