LCDR Tom Ogden
Lieutenant Commander Tom Ogden, a native of Falls Church, Virginia, is a 1998 graduate from the United States Naval Academy and holds a Masters of Arts in Strategic Studies from Georgetown University.
Afloat, Tom’s first assignment was in the Deck Department of USS DULUTH (LPD 6). He then served aboard USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) in Pearl Harbor, HI serving as the Navigator and Administrative Officer. As a Department Head, Tom served as Precommissioning Operations Officer on USS KIDD (DDG 100) and as OPS on USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53), making his third deployment to the Arabian Gulf.
Ashore, LCDR Ogden has served at Joint Interagency Task Force South in Key West, FL leading the United States’ Counter narco-terrorist operations in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific Oceans and Central and South America. Serving temporary duty at Commander Third Fleet, he assisted planning and developing their Maritime Operations Center. Most recently, he served at US Pacific Command as the Executive Assistant to the Director for Operations.
Lieutenant Commander Ogden’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards) and various campaign, service and unit awards.
