Command Master Chief

Master Chief Lamperth is a native of Mayfield, Ohio and enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1999. After completing Boot Camp at RTC Great Lakes, he attended Operations Specialist “A” School in Dam Neck, VA.

Prior to his current assignment as the Command Master Chief of USS Momsen (DDG 92), Master Chief Lamperth served aboard the USS Vicksburg (CG 69), USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), and on the staff of Destroyer Squadron 9. In addition, he deployed as an individual augmentee to serve on the Staff of U.S. Naval Forces Central Commands Forward Operating Headquarters in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Ashore, Master Chief Lamperth served as a Recruit Division Command at Recruit Training Command and the Senior Enlisted Leader at Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific.

Master Chief Lamperth is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 199/Khaki) and the CMC/COB Course in Newport, RI. He has earned an Associate’s Degree from Coastline Community College and is currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program at Hawaii Pacific University. He has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with 4 gold stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with 4 gold stars, and various unit and campaign awards.
