Command Master Chief (January 2015 -January 2017)

Master Chief Pedregon, a native of Zaragoza, Mexico, enlisted in the Navy in October 1993. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to Naval Technical Training Command, Millington, Tennessee where he completed Aviation Machinist’s Mate (AD) “A” School.

Upon Graduation, he reported for duty to Strike Fighter Squadron 94 (VFA-94), Lemoore, California. His other fleet assignments include Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron 2 (VQ-2), Rota, Spain, Patrol Squadron 47 (VP-47), Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Strike Fighter Squadron 195 (VFA-195), Atsugi, Japan. In addition he has completed shore assignments at Test and Evaluation Squadron 30 (VX-30), AIMD Pt. Mugu, California, and Recruit Division Commander, Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois and AIMD Atsugi, Japan.

Master Chief Pedregon is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 149 (Brown) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Capstone Course. He currently holds an Associate Degree from Coastline Community College in Aviation Technology.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, as well as various unit and campaign awards. Additionally, he has qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Master Training Specialist.

Master Chief Pedregon reported for his current assignment as Command Master Chief onboard USS MUSTIN (DDG 89) in January of 2015.
