- The forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) arrived in Pattaya, Thailand for a port visit, Oct. 25.
Mustin Sailors will have the opportunity to participate in a community service project along various morale, welfare and recreation tours during the visit.
With Mustin visiting Pattaya, Commanding Officer Cmdr. Joseph Ring has the opportunity to allow interaction between both his Mustin family with some actual family and friends.
"The Mustin Nation is very thrilled and very fortunate to be visiting the beautiful port of Pattaya, Thailand," said Ring. "I have family and friends in Pattaya and I'm very excited and proud to allow our Mustin family to interact with some great people in a great place."
This port visit to Pattaya marks the second port visit for Mustin since going on patrol Sept. 14.
"I'm looking forward to this port because Mustin Sailors can experience the culture and surroundings of a truly beautiful country, the land of smiles," said Ring.
Mustin is currently on patrol with the George Washington Carrier Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
