USS Howard (DDG 83) Sailors bid farewell to the Republic of the Philippines  
 
USS Howard (DDG 83) Sailors bid farewell to the Republic of the Philippines by manning the rails as the ship departs Puerto Princesa City.  Howard spent 11 days in Puerto Princesa City participating in Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines 2011.  While working with Philippine Navy counterparts, Howard Sailors engaged in community service projects, military symposiums and a sports day to better strengthen ties between the two navies.  USS Howard is currently on deployment in support of operations in 7th and 5th Fleets.
